The Silk Route

The Silk Route was a cultural Arabian Dance / Bellydance show which was held on alternate months at The Bedford in Balham, London. Unfortunately the show is currently on hold until a suitable new venue can be found but I am proud to have been the official photographer of this magically atmospheric event. Hossam Ramzy is an internationally renowned percussionist originally from Cairo, Egypt. As well as a large catalogue of his own music, he has also recorded with the likes of Jimmy Page & Robert Plant (of Led Zeppelin), Peter Gabriel, Big Country, Marc Almond and Joan Armatrading. His wife Serena is an accomplished professional bellydancer and dance teacher and they regularly perform together as well as teaching dance and percussion through the "Drumzy School of Dance, Rhythm & Music".
